Systronics targets national expansion

04.04.2007, 19:11 20

Arad-based Systronics, a producer of electronic and hardware components, estimates a 7.5 million-euro turnover this year, a 20% increase in financial indicators against 2006 when the company saw sales worth 6 million euros. The Systronics management had anticipated business worth 8 million euros last year, but estimates were not met due to the trend of the local market. "At the beginning of 2006, the company's calculations were made based on estimates from our customers, whose products did not see the expected results. This resulted in a disparity between sales posted by Systronics and the projections made last year," Cosmin Popa, CEO of Systronics, told ZF. The Arad-based company produces electronic and hardware components, develops applications on the basis of specifications, and provides out post-sales services for various companies in the industrial and telecommunications field, among others. "Usually with any service based on a business-to-business relationship, a company's calculates its projected turnover based on the sales estimates of its customers. In 2006, we began to operate on the Romanian market particularly in the Western part of the country and in the area around Bucharest, but this year we want to expand our activity over Romania as a whole," Popa added.
