TechTeam Akela: 5 times higher business in 2010

27.06.2007, 18:35 4

TechTeam Akela, the software development and maintenance division of TechTeam Global, a provider of IT outsourcing services, intends to reach a 30 million-dollar (around 22 million-euro) turnover by 2010, relying, among other things, on the opportunities created by Romanian accession to the European Union, Lucian Butnaru, 29, vice-president of the division, told ZF. In 2006, the company posted an approximately 6 million-dollar (4 million-euro) turnover, and Butnaru estimates it will rise to 9-9.5 million dollars (6.70-7.08 million euros) this year. TechTeam would be able to compete for projects launched by companies in EU member countries, and its employees would be able to work abroad without a work permit, specified Butnaru. "We are already much more competitive in terms of our prices than other EU firms," he stated.
