24.08.2007, 18:43 10

Temporary employment contracts will bring Swiss-based company Adecco 15m euros on the domestic market next year, given that the company expects to generate a 30m-euro turnover in 2008, for its three domestic firms. Temporary employment accounts for almost half (48%) of the turnover generated by Adecco - the world's biggest provider of human resources services, followed by outsourcing services (31%), IT contracts (17%), while permanent work contracts account for only 4%. The concept of temporary employment is a relatively new one for Romania because most employees struggle to obtain work contracts. Collectively, Adecco Romania, Adecco Resurse Umane and Adecco IT registered a cumulated turnover worth 11.25m euros in the first half of this year, up 60% on the same period last year. Adecco Resurse Umane (temporary work) accounts for the largest part of the turnover, 5.6m euros, followed by Adecco Romania (personnel selection and placement, outsourcing and consulting), 3.7m euros, and Adecco IT, 1.8m euros. The three companies' gross income advanced by 84% in H1, to over half a million euros (0.58m euros). For 2008, Adecco forecasts a gross income worth 1.7m euros.
