Tip Top, which holds 14 confectioner's shops on the Capital's market, will invest 8 to 10 million euros in a new plant located in Bucharest, which will triple the company's current production capacity. "With the new plant, we will also start providing catering services and double the production of the Conty biscuit range, given the high demand on the domestic market, as well as for exports," stated Eduard Lichi, marketing coordinator of Tip Top. According to information from the company, Tip Top Food Industry will start production at the new plant, located on an 8,000 - 10,000 square-metre area, in the Militari district, in 2008. "The funds come from a bank loan, as we did not have access to European funds. This is having a negative impact on our company, but it also is a motivating factor," added Lichi. The plant will produce both fresh products (cakes and fast food products) and frozen (pastry) products, and will sustain the expansion of the confectioner's network.
