Unio Satu Mare profits remain low

02.06.2005, 20:10 12

Industrial equipment manufacturer Unio Satu Mare has posted a 4.2 million euro (156bn ROL) turnover for the first three months of the year, an increase of 5.4% on the corresponding period of last year. First-quarter profits stayed relatively low, however, compared with turnover, at 34,600 euros. Company officials were not available to provide further information by the time this story went to print. Unio has agreed to manufacture components for the German group Michael Weining, which specialises in wood-processing machinery, as part of a two million-euro contract. The contract was signed at Hannovermesse 2005. Unio also began manufacturing assembly lines for a number of Mercedes factories around the world in January, as part of a project developed in partnership with another German group, Kuka. ZF
