After five rather discreet years on the Romanian market, Vinci, one of the world's leading construction companies is beginning to make its presence known. In the past two years, projects worth 426 million euros have been announced, and Vinci is set to handle them. Considering these projects take several years to complete, the annual volume of the Vinci business in Romania is much smaller. "The Vinci business on the Romanian market this year is estimated at some 25 million euros. We came here five years ago to study the market, the people, and the legislation, in order to develop our projects. The Romanian market is important to us, we are looking for opportunities and aim to launch a project every year," Philippe Grummer, development manager with Vinci Construction Grand Projets (a division of the French giant) told Ziarul Financiar.
