Alstom increases share capital

07.07.2004, 00:00 7

Alstom Power Romania SRL, one of the companies held in Romania by French energy and transport group Alstom, has increased its share capital by some 6.25 million euros so as to secure funding for its operations. All in all, the capital contribution of Alstom NV Netherlands, which owns 100% in Alstom Power Romania, totalled 25 million euros. Approximately 19 million euros of this sum came from the issue of premiums, sources close to the operation say. Alstom Power Romania SRL's capital stands at 255bn ROL (about 6.4 million euros), following the completion of the increase. Alstom Power Romania, which specialises in the modernisation, repair and maintenance of electrical power production facilities is therefore re-capitalising so as to sustain the growth experienced in its volume of activity.
