Berlinwasser has big plans for Romania

12.11.2003, 00:00 9

Germany's Berlinwasser, an international water supplier and wastewater purifying service provider is planning to expand its operations in Romania by developing public-private partnerships along with the local authorities. "Berlinwasser began surveying the Romanian market two years ago in order to devise a strategy for it. Romania is one of the most important markets to us, considering how big it is. We target projects for localities ranging from 50,000 to about 300,000 people," Marcus Wolf, CEO of Berlinwasser International AG, a subsidiary of Berlinwasser Group that co-ordinates its international operations, told Ziarul Financiar. Berlinwasser already holds 100% in a company, Apa Vie SRL, operating in Romania and based in Bucharest. This company might relocate from Bucharest to Constanta, though, Wolf says. ZF
