Google, the company owning the world's most popular searchengine, does not currently have any concrete plans of opening anoffice in Romania, and the only position the US company hasavailable in Romania is that of Country Manager, vacant ever since2008. "Google has not announced the opening of an office inRomania," Marta Jozwiak, a communications and PR manager withGoogle, told ZF, thus contradicting the statement anotherrepresentative of the company had made back in spring. In March,Amelia Cre]u, an account relationship manager with Google AdwordsRomania, stated Google would open an office in Romania by yearendand the recruitment was underway. Jozwiak says, though, that thedata are inexact though the company values the broad adoption ofits products on the Romanian market. According to Trade Registrydata, Google Bucharest SRL, the company the US giant set up in2008, last year generated 121,416-euro revenues and gross incomeworth a little above 2,000 euros in Romania. However, somerepresentatives of the domestic online industry say Google hasrevenues worth several million euros in Romania.
