French Lactalis group, the owner of the LaDorna company hasexpanded its UHT milk range by six new products this summer, two ofwhich produced at the Dukat factory that Lactalis owns in Croatia."Two products are imported from Croatia (omega-3 milk and DiminetiLinistite), because LaDorna does not have the necessary industrialequipment to make them yet, while the market in Romania is readyfor such products," stated Wilfried Lebas, general manager ofLaDorna producer, a company whose business revolves around 40million euros. Lactalis took over LaDorna from businessman JeanValvis in a deal put at more than 70 million euros last year. Thisis the first time when the new management of LaDorna dairy producerhas answered a request from the local press, after the company'sofficials have repeatedly declined comment over the past year.Lebas added that Lactalis intended to invest in the development ofthe LaDorna technology.
