Premium brands boost Halewood business

28.09.2005, 19:13 10

Cramele Halewood, a company in the Halewood Romania Group that handles winemaking and sales on the domestic market, has posted a 10% growth in turnover for the first half of 2005 to reach a total of 8.4 million RON (2.4 million euros). "We estimated 20% growth in value for the entire year and, considering that we saw a positive variation of 10% in the first half and that sales on this market are higher in the second half, we expect to reach our goals set for this year" said Bogdan Garofeanu, group marketing manager for Halewood Romania. Garofeanu said the released results only reflect sales on the domestic market, without taking into account exports of wine handled by Halewood Romania that generate around 70% of the group''s turnover. Cramele Halewood expects full-year turnover to reach 26.5 million RON (7.5 million euros), up from 22.2 million RON (5.4 million euros) in 2004. Their strategy targets boosting sales of their top brands (Prahova Valley Special Reserve, Byzantium, Cherry Tree Hill), which have helped the company achieve 15% quantitative growth compared with the same time in 2004.
