Principal Company budgets turnover worth 40m euros

Principal Company, producer of charcuterie Principal and Salonta brands, has budgeted turnover worth 40 million euros this year, double against the results registered at the end of 2007, primarily due to the launch of a super premium range of products. "We concluded last year with a turnover worth 20 million euros. The result is below initial estimates, but we always set very high targets in order to grow. If you don't think big, you cannot achieve good results," said Radu Dumitrescu, the company's brand manager. Principal's results did not match initial expectations in 2006 or 2007, and ended 2006 with turnover worth 15 million euros, compared with an estimated 16 million euros, while, last year, company representatives forecast turnover would double, but instead ended 2007 with a 33% increase in turnover against the previous year.
