Medias-based Ro Holland Trans, which is part of the Dutch group De Greef, will invest 1.5 million euros in a refrigerating storage facility this year, which will become operational at the beginning of 2008. "The development plans of the Dutch group involve starting construction works for a refrigerating storage facility with an approximately 2,000-tonne capacity. It will be built in the centre of the country, in Medias, and the investment will contribute to expanding the activity of the company on the logistics segment," stated Leonard Negrea, financial manager of the company. The company also intends to expand its fleet by 15 trucks to a total of 40. "We are in advanced talks with a lorry manufacturer for the acquisition of 15 vehicles, that could become available for our use by the second half of this year," specified Negrea. The company closed last year with a turnover estimated at 5 million euros, close to that seen in 2005. The revenue per lorry increased, since the company operated with 18 vehicles less, but reached a similar turnover.
