Spanish group Roca, the largest global producer of sanitary ware, acquired Lasselsberger's (formerly Cesarom) Romanian division of sanitary ware at the end of last year, in a transaction estimated by market sources to be worth between 15 and 20 million euros. The acquisition of Lasselsberger's sanitary ware division is part of a larger transaction, through which Roca Group paid 29 million euros to purchase the Inker plant in Croatia, as well as Lasselsberger's sanitary ware plant, the Spanish press revealed. The two plants acquired by the Spanish-based Roca have a total production capacity of around 900,000 units per year. As a result of this transaction, the Austrians have given up all its sanitary ware plants on the Romanian market. The former Cesarom did have the largest installed production capacity of sanitary ware on the market, which was estimated to make around 600,000 units per year.
