The domestic unit of Germany's Vaillant heating equipment producer expects to generate turnover worth 66m euros this year, up 27% from 2006, on sales of wall-mounted compact boilers, expected to generate 29m euros. Last year, Vaillant Group Romania sold around 43,000 heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and in 2007 expects sales to increase by another 10,000 units. According to company representatives, the total value of the Romanian heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment market amounts to one billion euros, with the company holding a share of around 14% of the market. In Romania, the company owns around 2,000 outlets and 350 servicing units. Since it entered the domestic market, the German group has invested around 5m euros in order to expand its operations. The group is present in Romania through 4 brands, Hermann, Protherm, Saunier Duval and Vaillant.
