American investment fund Advent International has started the necessary procedures to take over Romanian drugmaker Terapia Cluj Napoca in an approximately $43.7 million deal, sources close to the transaction say. The quoted sources added the National Securities Commission (CNVM) and the Stock Exchange this week had received a request to prevent the six main shareholders to sell Terapia from conducting transactions with its shares. An agreement binding the six shareholders (four investment funds and two trade companies) to subscribe during the tender offer to be put out by an Advent-controlled company will be signed next. ZF
