Allianz Tiriac Asigurari (Allianz Tiriac Insurance), a member of the Allianz group, posted gross underwritten premiums worth 237m euros in the first nine months of the year, a 41% increase against the same time last year, according to information provided by the company. The company witnessed a 40% increase on the non-life insurance segment, to 217m euros. Operating income for general insurance also saw a 40% increase against the same time last year, reaching 10m euros. In the first nine months of the year, revenue from gross underwritten premiums derived on the life insurance segment reached over 20m euros, an increase of over 60% upon last year. Consequently, even though general insurance continues to account for the largest share in the company's portfolio, life insurance was much more dynamic in the first half. Allianz Tiriac showed an interest in entering the private pensions system.
