This September Dr. Oetker Romania will finalise the expansion of the Curtea de Arges plant's production capacity by 20-30%, amid rising market demand, particularly for food additives. "The rising volume of sales required an increase in production capacity; as a result, in September, we are going to start operating at a new production capacity," said Ioan Cozma, general manager of Dr. Oetker Romania. He chose not to disclose the value of investments.
Dr. Oetker Romania last year registered 30% higher turnover, to 26 million euros (94.7m RON). During the same period, the company saw its net income advance by over 60%, to 6 million euros (21.8m RON). According to Cozma, profit is reinvested in Romania in order to boost production capacities and increase sales, as well as to strengthen the company's market position. Dr. Oetker Romania is a branch of Germany's Dr. Oetker company.
