Imsat wants $2m profit

30.04.2003, 00:00 9

The profit of the industrial automation and telecom installations producer Imsat Bucharest is supposed to amount to nearly $2 million (64.7bn ROL) in 2003, compared with the $0.13 million (4.3bn ROL) in 2002, its S&R budget shows. The completion of certain foreign contracts is the main reason for the surge in profits, as the company management says. "We will complete the construction works on three cement factories, two in Honduras and Jordan and one in Alesd, for Holcim Romania. Imsat is also the prime contractor for the Bucharest-Campina section of the European IV railroad, set to supply the signalling and automation systems," Imsat chairman Stefan Varfalvi said. Turnover should reach 1,221bn ROL this year, compared with 1,135bn ROL last year and 541.5bn ROL in 2001. The company has the entire productive capacity fully booked for this year and is already looking into next year's opportunities. ZF
