Banking Assets Resolution Authority (AVAB) will auctioneer the Trico-Prompt knitwear factory on April 22. The starting price is $4.03 million (VAT exclusive). AVAB conditions the sale to maintaining the factory's core business. The knitwear factory, comprised of a 14,201 sqm piece of land, an administrative three-story pavilion (972.60 sqm total space, 816.98 sqm of which available), a production hall, storage, office space (14,394 sqm) and a heating station, sells along with machinery, plant and equipment, vehicles, furniture and desktop equipment. The company is located on the east end of Drumul Taberei, close to the Steaua sports complex. The company posted $4.9 million turnover in 2001, while its debts totalled $4.03 million. It had logged $5.5 million turnover in 2000, with total debts reaching $4.7 million. ZF
