Bulgarian lubricant manufacturer Prista Oil, present on the local market for over ten years, intends to double its market share in around two years, and secure the No. 1 position among lubricant merchants, on a market put at almost 150 million euros. For this year, the company forecasts an around 40% turnover increase to 22 million euros, with its market share to reach 15-17%. "We want to be market leader in two years, and reach a 30% market share. The close proximity of the plant in Bulgaria, in Ruse, will be a factor in meeting our goal. Promotion and our price policy will be other factors considered," said Plamen Bobokov, chairman of Prista Oil's Board of Directors, and one of the company shareholders. According to Prista Oil representatives, Lukoil is leader of the Romanian lubricants market, with the Bulgarian company having a similar market share with the Hungarian player MOL. On the Bulgarian market, put at 50,000-55,000 tonnes a year, Prista Oil estimates it holds a 55% share.
