Rewe Romania, operator of the Penny Market and XXL MegaDiscount networks, is going to open 20 stores in the following period, with three units to be located in Bucharest. In line with an announcement published in the Official Gazette, the company is set to open outlets in Fetesti, Codlea, Sinaia, Bucharest (3), Targoviste, Onesti, Miercurea-Ciuc, Slatina, Buzau, Campulung, Sighisoara, Tarnaveni, Galati, Vulcan, Oradea, Comanesti, Sebes and Petrila. Rewe Romania has recently raised its share capital by two million euros, to 8.7 million euros, through a contribution in cash by its single associate, Germany's Rewe holding. Following this operation, the company will have a capital made up of 386,566 shares, with a face value of 100 RON each, in line with a report by Rewe Romania. Besides the Penny Market network, the company also operate the XXL Megadiscount store chain.
