Rompetrol Downstream, the retail (fuel distribution) division of private oil group Rompetrol posted $80m turnover in the first five months of the year. Company officials expect 2003 turnover to stand at $240m, up from last year's $154m. Operating income for the above-mentioned period is $1.6m and is likely to go up to $5.5m by yearend. Last year's operating income was worth $3.3m. Rompetrol group will continue to expand on the market by doubling its gas station network by December. According to Rompetrol officials, some $35m will be invested in building gas stations. ZF
