UTI has won the auction for expanding the e-licitatie.ro electronic system, as it submitted the lowest bid - some 133bn ROL (3.4m euros) plus the financing cost worth 51.3bn ROL (about 1.3m euros). Thirty-four companies, which bought the standard specification book, initially entered the competition for expanding the electronic tender system. According to data provided by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCTI), until the June 7 deadline for bid submitting, there were only five companies left in the competition: Romsys, S&T Romania, Intrarom, Siemens Business Services and UTI.
