Xerox growth in Romania and Bulgaria

07.05.2003, 00:00 17

The Romanian and Bulgarian branches of the US-based photocopier maker Xerox Corp. were the only European branches of the company to have posted growth last year, Ricardo Berrio, customer service director Xerox Europe said.
"The Eastern European market did well in 2002, in general, and this because we consolidated our distribution system. We will have to pay more attention to what happens in these areas," Berrio said. He added the Xerox Central and Eastern European operations had achieved double-digit growth in Q1, 2003. Xerox showcased a suite of 21 products in New York last week, as it attempts to regain its market position. Xerox Corp. has just come out of three difficult years, during which it had to deal with financial scandals and was even on the verge of bankruptcy. During the launch of the new products, Anne M. Mulcahy, President and CEO Xerox Corp. announced that the new strategy of the company targeted the clients with limited financial resources and the small and medium-sized companies more than ever through the low prices operated.
