Alro - $5.6m capital increase

23.09.2003, 00:00 7

The Board of primary aluminium producer Alro Slatina has endorsed a 185bn ROL ($5.6m) capital increase, by issuing new shares to be offered to stockholders. Shares are offered at 7,940ROL each, namely the face value of 5,000ROL and an issue premium. The price is much lower as compared to the quotation of the shares on the Stock Exchange, which could appeal to many of the minor shareholders, as well. Thus, 293bn ROL (about $9m) would enter Alro's accounts. "The capital increase was scheduled in the privatisation contract and aims at environment investments," Peter Braun, vice president of Alro, said. ZF
