Starbucks, the biggest global coffee chain has chosen as its first location in Romania, the Plaza Romania shopping centre on Timisoara Boulevard, Bucharest. Plaza Romania representatives confirmed the information, but did not supply any further details. According to sources on the market, Starbucks intends to open at least two further coffee shops this year. One of them will be located in the Bucuresti Mall, and the other will be opened within the B`neasa Business Center. The value of initial investments for a Starbucks coffee shop stands at around 100,000 euros. The launch date is still unknown, but the company has already chosen public relations consultant Mmd Corporate, Public Affairs & Public Relations Consultants, with whom they will work with in Romania. Greek company Marianopoulos has brought the franchise for the Starbucks coffee shops on the local market. The company also holds the franchises' in Eastern Europe and Greece for Marks & Spencer, Beauty Shop and the Sephora store networks.
