De Silva Intermed, a company specialised in the importing and distribution of food products, will next year complete construction of a four-star hotel close to the French Village in Bucharest, company chairman Virgil Calina said on Wednesday. "We decided to branch out to the hotel business, a sector which is developing at full speed, knowing that Romania will join the EU in 2007," Calina added, who declined to reveal the value of the investment. Construction works started in 2002 and are now in their final stages. The hotel will have 75 rooms, split into five suites, 11 double and 53 single rooms. The building will have five stories, two underground levels and a ground floor. ZF
