Aro, Tractorul and Roman sold today

The Privatisation Authority (APAPS) today will sign the privatisation contracts for Aro Campulung, Tractorul Brasov and Roman Brasov, deputy chairman Victor Dumitriu said. APAPS is negotiating the sale of the Campulung-based vehicle maker with American company Crosslander, while similar talks with Malaysia-based Pesaka Astana SDN BHD are in progress for Roman Brasov. The APAPS official added the negotiations with Italian Landini Spa for the takeover of Tractorul Brasov had been practically concluded. "We are hoping to sell the stake in Petrotub Roman and Siderurgica Hunedoara by the end of September, as well," Dumitriu said. The talks with LNM Holdings BV over the acquisition of the two companies began on August 25. The privatisation of Aro C=mpulung, Tractorul Brasov and Roman Brasov is part of the action plan the Romanian authorities promised the European officials they would carry out by early November.
